Uber is the only App-Based Operator permitted to operate from Queenstown Airport.
To obtain approval, Rideshare Operators must:
- Ensure the average age of all vehicles is less than 12 years from the date of manufacture.
- Provide the following documents (PDF or JPEG only):
| Copy of current* Certificate of Fitness (COF) showing vehicle plate number *no more than 1 month from expiry |  |
| Copy of current* Vehicle Licence (REGO) *no more than 1 month from expiry |  |
| Photo of your Full New Zealand Driver Licence |  |
| Copy of Small Passenger Service Licence (SPSL) |  |

| Valid Public/ General Liability Insurance. Cover of at least $5 million per event |

Once your application has been approved, the Ground Transport team will provide instructions to create an online account to manage your transactions and how to collect your access card(s).
We are experiencing higher volumes of enquiries. Please allow 15 business days for your application to be processed. It may take a further 5-10 business days for Uber to enable trips on the app once you have collected your access card.
