All you need to know about travelling through Queenstown Airport, including airport facilities and services, information about travelling with pets, and lost property.
Facilities and Services
There are three Travelex Foreign Exchange ATMs that cater for domestic and international debit and credit cards, and dispense New Zealand and Australian dollars. One machine is located in the main terminal next to the Travelex counter, one is located in the International Arrivals area, and one is located in the Domestic baggage claim area.
Storage lockers are located outside the terminal near the departures/check-in area.
There is a range of sizes to suit customer needs. Payment is made by credit or debit card. Our lockers are keyless.
Locker charges per 12-hour period are:

If there are no lockers available or if your items do not fit, please visit our team at the Airport Information Desk and they might be able to store the items on your behalf. This is subject to availability, and charges will apply.

There are numerous bathrooms located around the terminal, including those with mobility access. Queenstown Airport also has identified gender-neutral bathrooms throughout the terminal. If you need help locating these, please see our friendly team at the airport information desk or view our terminal map.
If you’ve brought a bike with you, you can put it together at our Bike Assembly Point which is located just outside the arrivals door of terminal building. If you need to recycle a bike box please see our friendly team at the Airport Information Desk. They'll happily recycle it for you.
We also have bike racks in the same location so you can lock your bike up if you are going on a quick trip. This area is undercover.

You can organise your foreign currency before travelling by transacting at the airport, or by ordering online via the Travelex website and collecting in-store.

We have a number of drinking fountains at Queenstown Airport located in the following places:
- Outside near Domestic Arrivals doors
- Gate 1 inside the terminal
- Domestic and International Departure Lounges
These fountains also have taps so you can refill your drink bottle while travelling.

If you have lost property on a plane or you are missing your baggage, please visit your airline's information desk or contact the airline directly.
If you have lost your passport, please contact the Airport Police on +64 3 409 2073.
If you think you have lost property in the terminal or car parks, please visit our Information Desk or submit a Lost Property form. You can also email the ZQN Customer Service team or phone +64 3 450 9031.
Items found around the airport are stored for 3 months, then given to local charities in our region.
Perishable items are disposed of immediately.
Valuables or cash over $20 will be given to the Airport Police immediately.
Scam alert: We never sell lost property or unclaimed bags. However, fake Queenstown Airport Facebook pages sometimes offer items for sale. Please report these pages when you see them. If you think you have been scammed, please see the Scamwatch site for advice.
There is only one official Queenstown Airport Facebook page.
Located by International Arrivals before security screening, the Parenting Room provides facilities such as change tables, feeding chairs and a microwave, for all travellers to use free of charge. Currently, we do not have a Parenting Room located post-security screening in the international or domestic gate lounges. However, we do have change tables in all accessible toilets throughout the terminal (before and after security).
A public telephone is located outside the main terminal near the check-in area. It takes cash or pre-paid telephone cards.
Both pre-paid cards and SIM cards for mobile phones can be purchased at Paper Plus, the news agency located in the main terminal concourse or at ONE NZ which is accessible to arriving international passengers only in the Aelia Duty Free store.
During operational hours we have a dedicated Airport Police team who are based in the terminal.

Wish to send your postcards to your loved ones?
There is an international and domestic postal mail box located beside the Paper Plus store in the terminal. Paper Plus also sell postage stamps.
We don't have any prayer rooms but if you would like access to a quiet room, please visit our friendly team at the Airport Information Desk and they will assist you.
Smoking is prohibited in all areas at Queenstown Airport except for the dedicated smoking area outside the main terminal behind the taxi shelter. Please follow the signage or view the terminal map online.
Enjoy the freedom of high-speed internet access throughout the airport. Queenstown Airport provides 2GB free WIFI per 24 hours.

2) You will need to sign into this network. A browser window normally pops up or on some devices a message will ask you to sign in. Alternatively, loading any website in your browser will usually start the sign in process.
